Welcome to DeLalio Elementary School Military students are often faced with numerous transitions during their formative years. Moves between military installations due to sponsor Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders or temporary deployments often find students with unique challenges not normally seen by non-military students. At Camp Lejeune Dependents Schools, our goal is to meet these unique needs of our students and to help make the transition to CLDS, as well as the potential transition out, as easy as possible. Registration Parents may register their students at the Principal's office Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. You will need to bring your child's shot record, birth certificate, social security card. Please be prepared to provide two local emergency contacts, one permanent contact and the sponsor's complete unit address. You must live in housing at MCAS to be eligible to attend DeLalio School, or have a ninety-day letter from the housing office which states you are on on their list to move into base housing. Additional information for stepparents: Enrollment eligibility to attend DoD Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) is set forth in section 2164 of title 10, US code and DoD instruction 1342.26, "Eligibility Requirements and Minor Dependents to Attend Department of Defense Domestic Dependent Elementary School (DDESS)," dated March 4, 1997. The Instruction does not include the term "stepparent" in the definition of parent for the purposes of determining elibility; we are asking that this be included in the next revision of the instruction. Until the Instruction is revised, however, the following documentation may be required from the sponsors who wish to register their stepchildren.
