Hour of Code
Grades 2 thru 5 are participating in the national campaign called an Hour Of Code. This gives students an opportunity to experiencing coding for computers on a basic interest and will hopefully spark some to be interested in continuing to learn about coding. At the present time there will only be one qualified person for 10 jobs in the world of coding. There are many tutorials available for students to learn from and there are sites available to continue to learn more after the first hour. . Read more....

Heroes Goals for Community School Improvement
Heroes Elementary School has chosen two goals to focus our efforts on as we continually look at the data that shows how our students are doing and ways to continually improve achievement.
Goal 1: By June 2014, all students will increase reading comprehension across the curriculum as measured by system-wide and local assessments.
