Literature Circle Information

Our next unit in Language Arts will focus on literature circles.  In a literature circle, several people gather to discuss a book of their choice so that they can learn from each other.  Over the next few weeks, you and your group will read the same book together.  Each Language Arts class period, your group will meet and discuss the reading passage that was assigned during the previous class.  Class time during this unit will be broken up into three parts: a daily grammar/language mini-lesson, the literature circle meeting, and novel reading/literature circle preparation time.
