Remember:  Any minutes practiced over your required minutes each week is always extra credit (up to double the minutes)!

Here you will find extra credit opportunities throughout the year. Complete each assignment/task and take it to Mrs. Goehring the following day. Do not cheat and share answers with your friends.  If you do the work and share the answers, it is not fair for them to recieve the same extra credit.

1.  Listen to a recording of someone playing your instrument.  Write down who you were listening to, what song they played, who composed the song, and what you thought about the song and the performance.  Your answer should be at least 1 paragraph long. 

This assignment may be completed more than once, up to 3 times for 1 quarter only.  Each assignment will replace 1 missed practice record. 

2.  Attend a concert and write a concert review.  Include in your review:

           A.  Date, time, and place of concert

           B.  Group performing

           C.  List of songs played and composers

           D.  Your opinion of the performance.  Include musical terms we use in class such as phrasing, posture, notes, rhythm,         playing together, why you did or did not like the song or performance.
