Welcome to the Pelican Team Webpage!

Refund for Cancelled Field Trip is being sent home today.

Friday, November 13th

*Parents please sign planners nightly! Students will lose their Pelican bucks if the planner is not signed each night.

Team teachers write notes in planners regarding missing or late assignments. Students are still responsible for turning in the work after the note is written. After 4 days, the grade will become a O! Please remind them of this.

*We are requesting that you DO NOT purchase zippered binders;they do not fit well in the lockers. In addition, they do not fit under the desks.

6th grade late homework policy is that after four days, the assignment is a 0. Please ensure that your child turns in their homework that was due the day of their absence and turns in the new homework that was assigned the day of their absence!********************

Two Sculptors

I dreamed I saw a studio

And watched two sculptors there.

The clay they used was a child's mind

And they fashioned it with care.

One was a teacher - the tools he used

Were books, music, and art.

The other; a parent, worked with a guiding hand,

And a gentle, loving heart.

Day after day, the teacher toiled with a touch

That was careful, deft, and sure,

While the parent labored by his side

And polished and smoothed it o'er.

And when at last, their task was done,

They were proud of what they had wrought.

For the things they had molded into the child

Could neither be sold or bought.

And each agreed they would have failed

If either had worked alone.

For behind the parent stood the school

And behind the teacher, the home.
