Maxwell Elementary students enjoyed an evening of "Reading Under the Stars" on Friday, April 18 th . The students brought their favorite book, a flashlight, and a blanket to sit and read their favorite book upon. The night was further enhanced by the Auburn Astronomical Society who brought telescopes for stargazing. Students were also able to roast s'mores over open fire pits and eat as many as they could make! Thank you to all the parents and students who made this event such a huge success!

Three art students were chosen as winners in the 2008 Buckle Up Alabama Art Contest. Two of the students received savings bonds and all three students will receive a packet of ten coloring books made from their art work.
