Major Concepts/Content: Computer Application I is designed to provide the student with the opportunity to expand technology knowledge and apply various technology applications. This course will equip the student with the necessary technology tools for personal use, employment and advanced education.


Major Instructional Activities:
This course offers a full menu of application modules with core requirements for word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation software and information literacy skills. After completion of the required core modules, based upon interest or need, a student may select any of the other modules. Instruction will be provided in a lab utilizing individualized instruction and electronic learning services.

 Statue of Liberty Web Page :

Students will create a web page with the Statue of Liberty as   the theme.

The following content and page characteristics must appear on the page:

  • The students name, class name and date
  • A title tag:  Statue of Liberty
  • An image of the Statue of Liberty
  • A colored background
  • Two horizontal lines
  • A paragraph about the Statue of Liberty
  • A title with font that is larger than that of the paragraph
