During the month of February John H Russell celebrated Dental Health Month. Staff from the Quantico Naval Health Clinics & Navy Yard Health Clinics taught the students how to keep their teeth healthy and clean. The dentists presented exciting grade level appropriate lessons which allowed the students to participate in their learning.



Ramey Students Join 15 Million Around the World to Particpate in Hour of Code

RameyHOC During December 9-15th, ninety percent of Ramey School students joined 15 million people from around the world in the Hour of Code. This STEM activity fostered collaboration and problem solving skills that are essential in 21st century learning and work environments.  A poster was created and shared by students at Ramey.

Students from Russell Elementary School Participate in Hour of Code

Russell ES Students Participate in Hour of Code An "Hour of Code" is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code" and show that anyone can learn the basics.  A variety of self-guided tutorials are provided for students of all ages (no experience needed). This initiative is to help modern students develop a basic understanding of the building blocks of our digital world.
