Background
Dahlgren School is proud to offer Spanish I for high school credit to our eighth grade students. Our students take a Spanish class entirely online from a remote instructor, with assistance from the local Dahlgren School facilitator.
Students who've gone on to take Spanish II and beyond in high school assimilate well into their classes, and many report that they are often called upon in class because of their pronunciation skills.
Even so, distance learning requires a high level of commitment on the part of the student. Generally, successful distance learning students are self-motivated individuals with good writing skills. They work well independently and have the ability to manage time and meet deadlines. Our Spanish Links webpage has several online surveys that will help you determine whether you'd be a good candidate for Spanish I DL at Dahlgren School.
