Class Rules and Grading Policy
The rules for the music room are:

1. Show respect to everyone and everything.
2. Follow directions.
3. Participate with enthusiasm.

Occasionally, a student needs to be reminded to follow the rules. When this happens, the following steps will be taken:

1. Warning!!! (The student will receive a verbal warning from the music teacher)
2. The student writes a behavior report. (The student will complete a form detailing any inappropriate behavior and what can be done to prevent this from happening in the future.)
3. The music teacher contacts the student's home. (The music teacher will contact the student's parent and work cooperatively to solve the situation.)
4. The principal becomes involved. (The principal will take an active role in assisting the student in understanding the importance of following rules.)

Student grades are based on class participation, tests and quizzes.
