Reading Counts

Reading Counts is a reading motivation and management software program. This program helps encourage and monitor our students' independent reading.
Students in our second and third grades have the opportunity to take quizzes on books they have read.  When a student achieves 80% accuracy on a quiz, he/she receives points.  This is one way to increase our students' comprehension.
Twice a year our PEA (Parent Educators Association) runs the RC Store.  At the RC Store, students may purchase items using their accumulated points.
In May, teachers have a culminating activity for those students who have achieved a minimum number of points.
