All ELA and Science students Due Nov. 23 - Concept Web Map/Rough Draft for brochure 1) Complete the Brainstorm Concept Map for Biome Publisher Pamphlet (25 points total). Students received two class periods to start this. This concept map should include but is not limited to geographic location, flora, fauna, climate, ecosystems, habitats, dangers, and fun facts. 2) Next week, students will go to the computer lab to use Microsoft Publisher. Using the developed concept map, the students will create a detailed pamphlet (like a travel brochure) of their assigned biome. Students will receive a science and language arts grade. (worth 100 points) 3) An Animal Poem will be developed after the Biome brochure as students will be assigned an animal from their biome. See the link below to see the animal research topics. Students will receive a science and language arts grade. (Worth 100 points) Animal/Biome Project - see rubric attached here. Use the explorescience.com website to do an interactive lab. Place your findings in a summary data table so that others will be able to review your lab experience. Make sure you include a title, labelled chart with units, and a few sentences to explain what you learned.
