Dear Parents,
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to meet with me and discuss your child’s progress here at school. I have enjoyed meeting with you, and learning more about your child at our Parent-Teacher conferences. We have completed our amazing me unit with our study of the homes and families this past week. This week we will complete a unit on fire safety. The week of October 5-9th, we will learn about apples. Please send in at least one apple for us to use with our apple studies at the beginning of that week. We are looking for different kinds of apples (golden delicious, red delicious, macintosh, etc.). We will be making several apple snacks and could use donations of any items made from apples (such as apple juice, muffins, apple butter, etc.).
We are also discussing autumn weather, harvest time, and pumpkins. Please send in any related items (such as small pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, etc.) that you would like to donate so we can explore them. Thank you in advance for your assistance with these upcoming activities.
Reminder: There will be no school for children from October 12-16th as this will be our Fall Break week. I hope you have a fantastic Fall Break!!!!! Mrs. Murphy
