Check those shoes! We still have some students who need to bring tennis shoes to physical education class. This month we will also start practicing how to tie our shoes.
I will be listening for good manner words every day. We will be discussing healthy habits like hand washing and brushing our teeth.
The students will be playing simple tag games where honesty and fair play will be demonstrated. We will work on gross motor skills, which will be incorporated into various activities this month. Safety will be stressed at all times. Let's have a fun filled month!

Welcome to Physical Education class. I hope everyone had a great summer. Now get ready to have a FUN school year. First order of business is tennis shoes or sneakers. Safety is our number one concern so every student must wear this type of shoe. We have some rules for the gym. They are:
- 1. Follow directions.
- 2. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
- 3. Listen when the teacher is talking.
- 4. Respect others.
- 5. No food in the gym.
There are also consequences for not following the rules. They are:
- 1. Warning
- 2. Five minute time out.
- 3. Ten minute time out.
- 4. A call to parents
- 5. A visit to Mrs. Patton
Congratulations if your child can tie his or her own shoes. This is something we will practice throughout the year. This month we will focus on finding our own personal space and the various ways we can move. Let’s have a great year!
