Seeking Parent Feedback on New DoDEA Attendance Policy

At the beginning of the school year, DoDEA introduced a new attendance policy similar to those found in most school districts in the U.S. The intent of the policy is to strike a fair and consistent balance between the academic needs of students and the unique needs of military families. To gauge the levels of awareness, effectiveness and satisfaction with the new DoDEA attendance policy, DDESS/DoDDS-Cuba has developed a voluntary, anonymous poll for all stakeholders—students, parents, employees, military leaders, etc. The online poll runs through May 31 and takes only five minutes to complete. The data from the poll will be analyzed to determine if refinements and improvements are needed. 2012 Summer Enrichment

Parents, the special four-week half-day Summer Enrichment Program for students in grades K-6 will be held at Brittin Elementary School, June 11 - July 6, 2012.

New DoDEA-Wide Attendance Policy! 9/30/11

Receiving Electronic Copies of the Weekly Diamond Gator Gram Parent Newsletter 9/28/11

Parents, our Gator Gram weekly newsletter is sent electronically via email to the primary parent email address we have in our student database. The primary parent email is not required to be the sponsor's military email address.

We have several students that we do not have parent email address in our student database.

If you are not receiving an electronic copy of the Gator Gram via email, please contact our school registrar to update your families email address, which could be a Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL, etc., email address.

Also, please add the Diamond Gator Gram to your email contact list so our weekly Diamond Gator Gram parent newsletter will not be sent to your Spam Folder.

The Gator Gram sent electronically to military email addresses are not going through their server and/or being delayed in delivery. We have received notifications from several families they are not receiving the Gator Gram to their military email address on this issue.
