Kessler Elementary is pleased to be one of the pilot schools for the MyDATA Parent Portal. This initiative will provide parents with a web-based portal where they can access their child's electronic academic records. To obtain your account you must first submit a new DoDEA Form 700 for consents and authorization, and a sponsor/spouse contact verification form. Even if you have recently returned one of these forms, you must fill out the new forms with the consent for the MyDATA portal. Click on the form name or visit the front office for a current version. These forms will also be available from your child's teacher during parent/teacher conferences Oct. 18, 19.

Enrolling Your Child in Kindergarten?
Parents planning to enroll a child in the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) kindergarten for the coming school year should be aware of the entrance requirements before making an appointment to register a child in school. See the DoDEA Media Advisory for more information.
Moving Between Duty Stations?
DoDEA, in alignment with the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children, is committed to easing the challenges of military families moving between duty stations. For families transitioning to a new duty station and enrolling in DoDEA schools for the first time, there is now a provision, allowing a 30-calendar day grace period for parents/students to meet immunization requirements after school enrollment. The intent of this provision is to avoid any interruption in the transferring student’s education. The health and the welfare of all students is a top priority for DoDEA. The Department of Defense sets immunization requirements for DoDEA schools based on recommendations from the Center of Disease Control. Compliance with immunization requirements greatly reduces the risk of public health issues. School nurses and local military medical treatment facilities stand ready to assist parents in meeting these requirements promptly.
