Dear Parents,

This week we will be completing a comprehensive review of our Literacy Place 1.2.  Please review the spelling words and vocabulary words for the assessments.

Monday – Alphabetize the spelling words (ABC Order).

Math – Complete the Home Activity.

Tuesday – Write a story using your spelling words.  Underline each spelling word. (The story must have 5 sentences.)

Wednesday – Make a word pyramid for each spelling word.

Thursday – Write each word and circle the vowels (a, e, i, o, u).

 

Math – Practice counting change and complete math practice sheets (Monday through Thursday.  We will be practicing addition and subtraction).

 

SIGHT WORD LISTPractice lists 1-10.  Assessments will be through list 10.  Your child should be able to read the sight word book by Friday.

 

Fluency – “Making Limestone - Practice this passage 4 times every night.  The first time echo read the passage with your child.  Then have your child read the passage 3 times for 1 minute each time.  Record the number of correct words read each time and sign the form every night.    

 

Your child will earn a positive stick for completing their homework assignment within 30 minutes.  Please initial and put a happy face next to the assignment.  Parents must initial and put the happy face on this sheet.
